TOPEKA, Kan. -- The ninth-ranked Washburn Lady Blues swept Southwest Baptist 3-0 (27-25, 25-14, 25-16) on Friday night at Lee Arena. The sweep was Washburn's 21st of the season. The Lady Blues will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host 22nd-ranked Pittsburg State at 2 p.m.

The Washburn Ichabods will play their only exhibition game of the season as they travel to Las Vegas, Nev., to face the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. It will be the fifth straight season the Ichabods have faced UNLV and the fourth time as a preseason exhibition game. Washburn will return home to open the regular season on Nov. 16 when they will take on Peru State at 7 p.m.

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Washburn Lady Blues recorded their 10th win of the season in a 3-2 victory over Missouri Southern in Joplin. The Lady Blues will wrap up the 2009 season when they play host to Missouri Western at 6 p.m. in Yager Stadium on Saturday night. It will be the final game for Keeley Lambeth, Lauren Lawless, Ashley Taylor and Angela Wiseman of their Lady Blues career.

The Washburn Lady Blues soccer team will wrap up the 2009 season their final road trip to Joplin, Mo., to face Missouri Southern (4-14-0, 2-12-0 MIAA) on Thursday and then return home to Yager Stadium for the season finale and senior night as they will play host to Missouri Western (8-9-2, 6-7-2 MIAA) at 6 p.m.
