Rodriguez named WBCA All-American Finalist and Daktronics All-Region
ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Women's Basketball Coaches Association has named Dayna Rodriguez as one of five finalists from the South Central Regional to be considered for the ten-member State Farm All-American Team. She was also named to the Daktronics/SID All-South Central Region First team which was released today.

Lady Blues softball action canceled at MWSU
TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn Lady Blues softball action scheduled this weekend at the Drury Inn Hotel Softball Classic hosted by Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Mo., has been canceled because of unplayable field conditions. Ichabods to host Truman State in weekend series - games moved to Sunday/Monday
The Ichabods will host Truman State in an MIAA weekend series at Falley Field. The series is scheduled to start with a DH on Sunday at 2 p.m. and conclude with a DH on Monday at noon. Both days will consist of a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning game.

Lady Blues tennis match with Fort Hays State moved
TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues tennis match scheduled for Thursday in Hays, Kan., has been postponed until April 17 at 1 p.m. Washburn (3-1) will be in action on Friday at Wood Valley when they will face Ferris State before taking on Midwestern State on Saturday, Dallas Baptist on Monday, Incarnate Word on Tuesday and St. Mary's on March 17 in a spring break trip.

Ichabod golfers place 6th at Red River Intercollegiate Championships
REUNION, Fla. -- The Washburn Ichabod golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the spring at the Golfweek Spring Invitational with a 14th place finish. The event featured 16 nationally-ranked teams in the latest golfstat rankings. Washburn entered the invitational ranked 49th in NCAA Division II golf.

The No. 7-ranked Washburn Lady Blues open NCAA-II South Central Regional play as the No. 2 seed on Friday at 2:30 p.m. against the No. 7 seed Central Missouri in a rematch of the MIAA tournament championship game.

Baseball Update: Washburn revamps weekend schedule
TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn has canceled it's Wednesday baseball game with Upper Iowa due to a unplayable field. In addition, Washburn's weekend MIAA series with Truman State has been moved to Topeka because of an unplayable field in Kirksville. The series schedule has been changed to a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. and a doubleheader on Sunday at noon.

Lady Blues move to No. 7 in final regular season WBCA Top 25 poll
The Washburn Lady Blues basketball team moved up to No. 7 in the final regular season WBCA Top 25 Coaches Poll of the season. Washburn will open up NCAA tournament play on Friday at 2:30 p.m. when they take on Central Missouri in the first round of the NCAA South Central Regional in Canyon, Texas.
