Don Green played tennis at Washburn from 1937-39 and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000-01.

He teamed with fellow Hall of Fame member Carl Nordstrom to win the 1938 Missouri Valley Conference doubles title and help the Ichabods take the team title.

During the 1938-39 season Green held the No. 1 spot on the team, leading the Ichabods to another MVC title.
