Meagan Horvath

Former Lady Blue Meagan Horvath returns to the Washburn sidelines in her first season as a volunteer coach. Horvath recorded the first assist in the program's history on Oct. 3, 2003 against Ottawa. Horvath started all 64 matches of her career which was cut short by a knee injury during her junior campaign in 2005 while starting the very first game in the program's history. Horvath finished her career nine goals and eight assists from her defender's position. She still ranks in the top 10 in 10 career categories including points, assists and goals. Horvath was a first team all-region pick as a senior and named the Lady Blues' MVP as a freshman and sophomore. She also earned first team all-MIAA honors as a senior and second team accolades as a sophomore. Horvath graduated from Washburn in 2007 with a degree in criminal justice and is now pursuing a master's degree in criminal justice from Washburn.
