Kate Hampson begins her first season as a student assistant coach while finishing up her degree in mass media. Hampson finished her career as Washburn's all-time leader in assists and assists per set and finished second all-time in the MIAA in career assists. She ranks in Washburn's top 10 in eight statistical categories.
She was a two-time All-American earning third team AVCA honors following her senior season and second team Daktronics All-American accolades as a sophomore. In addition to her All-American awards, Hampson was a three time All-MIAA selection and earned all-Region honors from the AVCA and Daktronics. She was also named the MIAA's Specialist of the Week eight times during her career.
