ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME NOMINATION FORM

The Washburn University Athletic Hall of Fame was established to pay tribute and give recognition to former student-athletes, coaches and others who have made exceptional contributions to the athletic program at the University.

Selection Criteria
1. Distinguished themselves as an athlete, coach or athletic administrator at Washburn

• Athletes must be all-conference; All-America preferred

• Must have completed athletic competition ten years prior to current academic year.
(Eligible are those who finished after 1996-97 season would be eligible during 2007-08 school year.)

2. Accomplishment or contribution to a sport of such a high stature that it is recognized and brought distinction and honor to those involved and to Washburn University

• Olympic Medalist (Individual or Team Sport)

• United States Olympic Team Member

• World Record Holder (Recognized by National Federation)

• American Record Holder (Recognized by National Federation)

3. Other non-athlete/coaches may be considered who have made exceptional contributions to the program

4. Unless deceased, will be present to personally receive award

5. The Selection Committee is empowered to make exceptions to the qualifications if deemed necessary.
