Lady Blues down UNO, advance in South Central Regional
WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The No. 2 seed Washburn Lady Blues recovered from a set one loss to down seventh-seeded Nebraska-Omaha 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-22) in the first round of the NCAA South Central Regional hosted by Central Missouri. Washburn (33-4) advances to play the No. 3 seed West Texas A&M (35-3) in the semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m.

TOPEKA, Kan. -- The eighth-ranked Washburn Lady Blues dropped the first set, but rattled off three straight set wins en route to a 3-1 (20-25, 25-9, 25-22, 25-14) victory over No. 9 Emporia State in front of a season-high 1,564 fans on Senior night in Lee Arena. The Lady Blues next match will be in the NCAA South Central Regional next week.

Lady Blues remain at No. 3 in South Central Regional Poll
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Washburn Lady Blues remained third in the NCAA South Central Regional rankings which were released today. The Lady Blues will play host to No. 2-ranked Emporia State Friday night in Lee Arena beginning at 7 p.m. It will be the final home regular season match of the season and Kate Hampson will be honored in pregame festivities.

HAYS, Kan. -- The eighth-ranked Washburn Lady Blues started off the final week of the regular season with a 3-1 (25-23, 25-17, 24-26, 25-20) win over Fort Hays State in Hays on Wednesday night. Washburn will wrap up the regular season with the Turnpike Tussle on Friday against Emporia State at 7 p.m. in Lee Arena.
