WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The No. 2 seed Washburn Lady Blues recovered from a set one loss to down seventh-seeded Nebraska-Omaha 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-22) in the first round of the NCAA South Central Regional hosted by Central Missouri. Washburn (33-4) advances to play the No. 3 seed West Texas A&M (35-3) in the semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m.

The Lady Blues next match will be in the NCAA South Central Regional next week.

The Lady Blues will play host to No. 2-ranked Emporia State Friday night in Lee Arena beginning at 7 p.m. It will be the final home regular season match of the season and Kate Hampson will be honored in pregame festivities.
