WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabod golf team won their eighth-straight MIAA-sanction event dating back to the 2006-07 golf season with a three-shot win over Central Missouri at the UCM Heart of America Classic. WU's John Robbins took individual honors with a two-under 140 (69-71).

Matt Lazzo finished in a tie for second after carding a 1-over 143 (70-73). He was followed by Matt Salome who finished sixth (74-70/144).

Matt Ewald finished in ninth place with a 146 recovering from a 4-over 75 in the first round to shot a par 71 in the second round.

Washburn only had four scores count on their final round as Ryan Deutsch, who shot a 75 on the first day of action, was disqualified in his second round.

Playing as an individual was Sam Wempe and he finished in a tie for 21 with a 153 (77-76).
