Lacy and Lewis led Washburn with 380 and 287 kills, respectively. Lacy, a first team All-MIAA selection, led the MIAA and was fifth in the NCAA with a .405 hitting percentage. Lewis, a second team All-MIAA honoree, also averaged 0.72 blocks per set.
Washburn finished the season 33-5 and second in the MIAA. The Lady Blues advanced to their sixth straight NCAA Tournament, making it to the South Central Region semifinals before falling to eventual region champion West Texas A&M.
