REUNION, Fla. -- The Washburn Ichabod golf team climbed to 14th place in the second round of three at the Golfweek Spring Invitational at the Independence Course. The final 18 holes will take place tomorrow. The invitational is the opening event of the spring for the golf team.

Dustin Yeager knocked off seven shots from his first round on Sunday to finish with an even-par 72. He is currently in a tie for 27th with a two-day score of 151 (79-72).

Nate Sargent is in a tie for 48th after rounds of 76 and 79 for an 11-over 155 total. He is followed by Matt Lazzo who is in a tie for 63rd with a 13-over 157 (79-78). Brian Walker is in a tie for 74th with rounds of 82 and 78 for a 16-over 160 and Riley Piles is in a tie for 88th overall with a 24-over 168 (81-87).

The Ichabods improved their team score for 315 to 307 after the first-day of action sitting in the clubhouse with a two-day total of 622 (46-over). Nova Southeastern leads the invitational by two shots over West Florida after recording a two-day total of 589.
