INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Washburn Lady Blues basketball team finished the 2009-10 season ranked fifth in NCAA-II and third in the MIAA averaging 2,031 fans per game.

The Lady Blues trailed Fort Hays State (2,214) and Emporia State (2,118) in average attendance during the 2009-10 season. As a conference, the MIAA led the nation in average attendance with 1,314 fans per game, which was 332 fans per game higher than the next NCAA Division II conference. The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association was second with 982 fans per game.

Four MIAA schools ranked in the top 10 in attendance. Following the Tigers, Lady Hornets and the Lady Blues was Pittsburg State in sixth with 1,926 fans per game.
