TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabods will report on Friday and hit the game field on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. starting the first of a total 18 practices prior to opening the season on Aug. 28 at the Colorado School of Mines.

The Ichabods were tabbed No. 3 in the MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll and No. 2 in the MIAA Preseason Media Poll which was released by the conference office.

The Ichabods return 20 starters overall with eight on both offense and defense and a combined 57 letterwinners from a team which went 6-3 in the MIAA in 2009 finishing the season ranked No. 25 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.
