KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Will McNeill has been named the MIAA's Student-Athlete of the Week after the Ichabods went 2-0 last week. McNeill and the Ichabods will play host to Central Missouri on Wednesday in Lee Arena at 7:30 p.m.

McNeill won the award for the second time this season after averaging 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game as Washburn picked up wins at Truman and over Fort Hays State. The junior from Alexandria, La., was 13 of 23 from the field (57 percent) while hitting both 3-pointers and 11 of 12 freethrow attempts. Against Truman, he scored 13 points in Washburn's 21-point win and against Fort Hays State he led the Ichabods with a game-high 26 points,scoring 17 in the first half on 6 of 6 shooting adding five boards in the opening half. He also had a team-high eight rebounds against the Tigers.
