Lindenwood head coach Brad Soderberg
• Soderberg is entering his ?fth season at the helm of the Lindenwood basketball program, and his 18th as a collegiate head coach.
• In just four full seasons he is the All-Time winningest head coach in Lindenwood history. He also holds the school record for winning percentage.Â
• In 2010-11, he led the Lions to one of the best seasons in school history. The team set a school record for wins with 29 and had a winning streak of 16, which is the longest in school history.Â
• Since Soderberg has come to Lindenwood the Lions have a record of 56-10 at Hyland Arena.Â
• During his time as the Lindenwood head coach he has coached two NAIA All-Americans. Torianao Adams was named to the honorable mention team and Kramer Soderberg was named to the third-team.Â
• In 17 seasons as a collegiate head coach, he has had only one season where his team ?nished with a sub .500 record.
• Soderberg's ?rst NCAA Division I job was in 2000 when he took over for Dick Bennett at the University of Wisconsin.Â

 Last Time Out For The Ichabods
Washburn 70 • Lincoln 65 • Dec. 19, 2013
TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabods shook off a slow start and a halftime deficit to improve to 9-1 and 2-1 in the MIAA with a 70-65 win over Lincoln.Â
Both teams started off slow as neither team would score until the Blue Tigers (2-10, 0-4 MIAA) found the basket with 15:27 remaining in the half. Washburn tied it up 10 seconds laster but the Blue Tigers would jump out to a 9-4 lead with 13:25 to play in the frame. Lincoln would go on to lead by as many as six on two different occasions before taking the 34-28 lead into the halftime break.
Lincoln shot 44 percent in the first half compared to 37 percent for the Ichabods.
The Ichabods used a 15-5 run over the first 7:40 of the second half to take a 43-39 lead as
Andy Wilson capped the run with a 3-pointer.
Jeff Reid had eight points during the run including two 3-pointers.
Washburn stretched its lead to as many as eight two times at 60-52 on a tip in by Reid with 5:46 to play, but the Blue Tigers chipped away at the lead tying the game at 63 with 1:50 to play. After a Washburn timeout,
Alex North hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key to go up 66-63 with 1:17 to play. The Blue Tigers came back with a pair of free throws with 56 seconds left cutting the lead back to one at 66-65. A lay up by
Kyle Wiggins put Washburn back up three with 26 seconds left and after a missed shot by Lincoln, North finished the game with two free throws with five seconds left icing the 70-65 win.
Reid and Wiggins led Washburn with 15 points and eight of nine player scored at least five points for Washburn. North scored nine points and had a game and career-high-tying 14 rebounds. Joshua Buie had 22 to lead the Blue Tigers.
Washburn finished 24 of 56 from the field for a 43 percent average while the Blue Tigers were 21 of 48 for 44 percent. Washburn held a 38 to 24 advantage on the glass holding the Blue Tigers to only three offensive rebounds. Washburn also scored 22 points off 14 Lincoln turnovers.
 Lincoln Leftovers
• The Ichabods have now won 24-straight games against the Blue Tigers and have not lost to Lincoln since a 69-66 loss on Dec. 27, 1968 in a neutral court game in Quincy, Ill., at the Quincy Invitational.

 About Lindenwood
• Several returners have stepped up as LWU has won six of its last nine games. They began 2013-14 with losses to three top teams in Alaska-Anchorage, No. 14 Seattle Pacific and No. 16 Minnesota State.
• On Monday, they lost 114-112 in two OT's to Missouri S & T. The two teams combined for 64 fouls and 91 free throws.
• A balanced offensive attack features 6-1 senior guard Tyler Ressel (17.3), 5-11 junior guard Darris Smith (14.7) and 6-2 sophomore guard Brandon Marquardt (10.8).
• Smith is among the MIAA steal leaders (2.2) with Marquardt ranking among the league leaders in threes made per game (2.5).  As a team, Lindenwood averages 7.9 triples per game, fifth best in the MIAA.

 Last Meeting With Lindenwood
Jan. 26, 2013-- ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- The No. 24 Washburn Ichabods held off a late charge by the Lindenwood Lions leaving Hyland Arena with a 66-63 win.Â
The Ichabods (12-4, 5-3 MIAA) led by 10 at 56-46 with 5:41 to play before the Lions used a 16-8 run to cut the Ichabod lead back to two at 62-60 with 15 seconds to play after a pair of free throws by Alex Bazzell.
Will McNeill hit back to back free throws to put Washburn back up four with 11 seconds remaining. After a miss by Lindenwood (12-5, 5-4 MIAA),
Christian Ulsaker was fouled and hit both free throws to go up 66-60. Bazzell hit a 3-pointer before the clock ran out trimming the Ichabod lead in half but it wasn't enough as Washburn held on for the win.
The Ichabods led 30-24 at the half after falling behind by as many as five in the opening frame at 11-6. Washburn rallied to tie the score at 11 with 11:29 to play on a 3-pointer by
Kyle Wiggins and would go up 14-11 on a three by
Leon Flowers. A pair of free throws by the Lions pushed them back in front at 19-16 after back to back jumpers with 8:21 to play.
Joseph Smith would start a 12-1 run over the next five minutes to push Washburn out in front by eight at 28-20 with 2:30 to play. A 3-pointer by the Lions with 1:22 to play in the half cut the lead back to six at 30-24. WU finished 11 of 26 from the field in the first half while the Lions were 9 of 29 including 1 of 9 from 3-point range.
McNeill led the Ichabods with 13 points going 6 of 6 from the free throw line with seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. Wiggins finished with 12 including a pair of 3-pointers and Smith finished with 12 as well.
Bobby Chipman finished with seven poitns and a team-high eight rebounds.
Cody Sorenson lead four Lions in double figures with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Washburn was 24 of 57 from the field for the game and finished 13 of 18 from the free throw line going 8 of 11 in the second half. The Lions came into the game averaging an MIAA-high 79.8 points per game, were 21 of 57 from the field for the game. Washburn had a 40-36 advantage on the glass for the game. The Ichabods had 13 offensive rebounds leading to 18 second chance points while outscoring the Lions 26 to 24 in the paint and Washburn held a 23 to 8 lead in bench points.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Ichabods fell out of the rankings after the loss to Missouri Southern but did receive votes in the NABC top 25 coaches poll which was released last week.Â
