WBB lands two signees to National Letters of Intents

TOPEKA, Kan. --- Head women's basketball coach Ron McHenry has announced the additions of two student-athletes, as Shay Tanking and Katie Glatczak have both signed National Letters of Intent during the early signing period.
 
Shay Tanking • 5-7 • Guard • Holton, Kan.
Will graduated this Spring as a multiple letterwinner in basketball (three), volleyball (four) and track (three) at Holton HS … has earned several postseason accolades in basketball including first team all-state honors as a junior last season after garnering an honorable mention nod as a sophomore … named all-league and all-county in each of her first three seasons with the Wildcats … daughter to Karla and Andrew … has three siblings, Trent, Trey and Saydee … plans to major in radiology when she enrolls next fall.

Will graduate in Spring 2018 from Centralia HS as a three-sport athlete where she competed in basketball, volleyball and track … has helped the Panthers to a 70-8 record in her first three seasons including consecutive Twin Valley League Tournament championships … has helped Centralia to three top three finishes in the KSHAA 1A-D1 state tournament including a state title in 2015-16 … as a sophomore (2015-16) was named first team Kansas Basketball Coaches Association (KBCA) after averaging 15.4 points, 2.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds a game … as a junior, averaged 17.8 points with 5.0 assists and 4.8 board a contest en route to earning first team all-state honors for 1A-D1 … daughter to Janelle and Larry … has two brothers, Tyler and Michael … Larry (father) and Tyler both played football at Baker, while Janelle (mother) was a member of Baker's women's basketball and cross country teams, while Michael played football for Kansas … she plans to major in elementary education when she officially enrolls next fall.
