Junior third baseman Joe Hosey hit .438 in four games against sixth-ranked Emporia State last week. He was 7 for 16 at the plate and drove in six runs while scoring five time. In the opener he was 3 for 5 with five RBI off a home run and a double. He followed that with at least one hit in the next three games.

Hosey had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with no errors in 12 attempts.

Sophomore third baseman Tish Williams batted .429 in five games last week with seven RBI and a pair of home runs. She had hits in every game but one and drove in three runs against Missouri Western in the second game and then three in the first round of the MIAA tournament in a win against Pittsburg State. She had three-run homers in both of those games.

Williams had a 1.000 fielding percentage with no errors in 17 tries.
